Senior Engineer/Project Manager
Hydrometrics is seeking a highly motivated Senior Engineer/Project Manager to join our Engineering and Environmental Sciences team to work on challenging projects in our Billings, Montana office. The Senior Engineer/Project Manager will be responsible for client interactions, managing projects from initial investigation through construction administration, leading a team, and maintaining schedule deadlines and deliverables.
What You Will Do…
Provide project management and senior level expertise to an interdisciplinary team of scientists and engineers on a wide variety of projects conducted for both private and public sector clients, including the mining, power, petroleum, and solid waste industries, as well as municipalities, state and federal agencies, private developers, and many others.
Job duties will commonly include:
hydrology and hydrogeology
environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
site characterization and remedial investigations
client and regulatory interactions
senior level review
project management
proposal development and marketing
provide technical expertise on complex and interesting projects and plan, organize, and supervise work of junior staff
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Hydrogeology, or a related technical field with 10+ years’ experience.
Project Management and Team Management experience.
Strong Leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proficiency in technical/scientific writing, graphics preparation, and technical presentations with continuous attention to detail.
Ability to successfully complete tasks both independently and collaboratively.
Ability to travel occasionally to project locations for client meetings and/or to conduct or supervise field work.
Commitment to workplace safety.
Experience with Client Interactions and Marketing.
Preferred
Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or Geological Engineering.
Professional Engineer’s license.
Expertise in hydrologic, hydraulic, and sediment analyses, stormwater treatment / management, and environmental investigation and cleanup.
Experience with water resource development, surface water, groundwater, and storm water modeling, GPS surveying, floodplain and watershed studies, flood mapping, water and mine permitting, environmental remediation, regulatory compliance, and construction management.
Current HAZWOPER 40-hour training and certification.
Current MSHA training and certification.
Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D, geographical information systems (GIS) and other spatial analysis software (e.g., ESRI ArcGIS).
Location: Billings, MT, in person (required)
Schedule: Full-Time, M-F
Salary: $90k-$120k per year (depending on experience)
Ability to commute/relocate:
Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
License/Certification: Driver's License (Required)
Willingness to travel: 25% (Preferred)
